The Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) today announced it will add service on its popular Metro-North fall foliage trains the weekends of October 25-26 and November 1-2, 2025.
These round-trip trains will run Saturday, October 25, and November 1, and Sunday, October 26, and November 2, with one extra train heading northbound in the morning and another heading southbound in the evening.
The additional morning train will depart New York’s Grand Central Terminal at 11:31 a.m., making stops at Harlem-125 Street, Peekskill, Manitou, Garrison, and Cold Spring before arriving at Beacon at 1:10 p.m. The extra Manhattan-bound train will depart Beacon at 6:54 p.m., picking up riders at Cold Spring, Garrison, Manitou, Peekskill, and Harlem-125 Street, arriving in Grand Central at 8:30 p.m.
With the additional service, there will be a total of nine northbound fall foliage trains operating between 6:45 a.m. and noon. There will be 10 southbound trains departing from the Upper Hudson Valley to Grand Central Terminal between 2:00 p.m. and 7:15 p.m.
Under the MTA’s “Family Fares” program, up to four children aged 5-11 can ride for $1.00 with a fare-paying adult all week, except for Grand Central-bound weekday morning peak trains, making a trip to the Hudson Valley a fun, safe, and affordable adventure for the whole family.
Train times and fares for the weekend fall foliage trains, as well as all Metro-North services, are available on the MTA TrainTime app, on the MTA’s website, and by dialing 511 (from Connecticut, dial 877-690-5116).
