Following the announcement earlier this year that Southwest intends to launch its first-ever red-eye flights in February 2025, the airline has added additional flights to its schedule starting in June 2025.

The first round of red-eye flights follows the usual path of flights from Hawaii to destinations on the mainland, including Las Vegas, Phoenix, and the San Francisco Bay Area. With the newest announcement, Southwest’s summer 2025 schedule includes 33 overnight flights with service from Hawaii and the West Coast to selected Southwest destinations in the East.

Starting June 5, 2025, Southwest will launch six red-eye routes to Baltimore/Washington International Airport from Seattle, Portland, OR, San Francisco, San Jose, CA, Ontario, and Long Beach. Additional routes include Honolulu to Los Angeles, Lihue to Las Vegas, San Francisco to Nashville, and Sacramento to Orlando.

Southwest will expand its presence in Seattle by launching four red-eye flights to four cities: Chicago (Midway), Houston (Hobby), Nashville, and Baltimore/Washington.

Along with adding additional red-eye flights, Southwest announced new seasonal routes in June, including a new international route from Colorado Springs to Cancun, Mexico. Other seasonal routes returning include:

  • Austin and Boston
  • Baltimore/Washington and Portland, OR
  • Baltimore/Washington and Seattle
  • Dallas and Seattle
  • Denver and Myrtle Beach, SC
  • Denver and Savannah, GA
  • Nashville and Seattle
